Thinking inside the box.

We wanted our furniture to be efficient, stylish, properly scaled, easy to transport, easy to assemble… and affordable. So we started from the inside out and developed a more efficient manufacturing system that considers the environment in every step, making our furniture easier to ship, and our packaging smaller. The result was a new, affordable line of furniture perfect for the way people live in spaces today.

They don’t call us Handy Living for nothin’.

With Handy Living you can spend more time relaxing, and less time looking for a screwdriver. Our “no tools” construction makes it possible to assemble our furniture in just a few minutes. At the core is our Handy Lock™ assembly system. Handy Lock™ is a collection of hardware that slides, clicks, or locks into place for easy assembly without the need for tools. Just slide and lock into place. It’s that easy.

Delivery guys love us!

Handy Living designs furniture as individual components that can fit in a single box. So, almost everything we make can be ground shipped for delivery to your home. The boxes all fit through a standard doorway, so you never have to worry whether your couch will fit through the door.

Doing our part for the environment.

Our membership in the Sustainable Furnishings Council (SFC) underscores our commitment to our planet’s future. The SFC has a mission to promote sustainable supply chain standards throughout the industry. Handy Living is dedicated to leading the way in developing innovative ways to reduce emissions. We have designed a more compact package that reduces waste materials.

We also use environmentally friendly raw materials, and have taken links out of the supply chain to reduce our carbon footprint.

Our upholstered products have another earth-friendly feature. At the end of their useful life, they can be disassembled, and disposed of in a way that has the least impact on the environment possible. Components that are recyclable can be separated from those that aren’t, further reducing the amount of waste.
